Guitar & Vocals
"Magic Man" Chris is our Home-grown Polk County guitar picker and singer. Chris has been playing guitar since the age of 5 when he got his first plastic toy guitar for Christmas. Sources tell us; "One strum of the strings and he was hooked". Chris perfected his skills by playing music all through high school (with Jamie and Brandon). His large repertoire of songs and ability to play all styles of music provides the variety of music people love. Thanks to his signature guitar licks (where at no time does his fingers leave his hands) and his rockin’ vocals, he helps form that great sound South of the Blues is known for.
Keyboards & Vocals
Rockin' Rod is our keyboard player who joined the band in 2015. Rodney, being multi-talented, also plays the guitar, bass, drums and percussion. His musical career started in Sarasota playing guitar, singing, playing drums & percussion for symphonies, bands and musical productions. This developed into teaching, sound engineering and studio work. He has performed in multiple venues all across the US and overseas. When not playing music, he is busy making custom t-shirts and keeping the band supplied with promotional items.
Bass & Vocals
Brandon is our "thump-n-bump" bass man with solid “country gold” vocals. Brandon started playing and singing when he was about 9 years old. His love of music stems from traditional country to classic rock and roll and more. If Brandon is not custom decorating RVs, building race cars or camping with his family, you can find him singing and playing the guitar, the stand-up “doghouse” base and laying down the musical foundation that shapes the great sound of South of the Blues.
Drums & Percussion
Jamie "The Hammer" Huffman, master mechanic by day and drummer by night. He keeps the band charging forward with his precise and energetic rhythms, laying down the solid beat that keeps everyone on the floor dancing. He started playing the drums at age of 4 and has just kept going non-stop. When he is not playing the drums, you can find Jamie either repairing and customizing Harley Davidson motorcycles, working on all sorts of mechanical projects or he will be out camping with the family.
